Chapter History

The Rho Lambda Chapter was founded at Cleveland State University on April 6, 2014. From the beginning of our chapter, the sisters have worked hard, not only to unite as a sisterhood, but to make an impact on CSU's campus. Our chapter has won Sorority of the Year at Cleveland State two years in a row, as well as winning the following awards at Cleveland State this spring: Most Improved Scholastic Award, Scholastic Achievement Award, Outstanding Sisterhood Programming, Outstanding Philanthropic Contributions, and the Diane Dillard Student Organization of the Year Award! At the Phi Mu National Convention held in the summer of 2019, the Rho Lambda chapter was been given an Honorable Mention for Sisterhood and received the Lila Chapman Scholarship Award!

Phi Mu Rho Lambda also hosted the first ever Dance Marathon at Cleveland State and raised over $8,000, all of which went directly towards our chapter philanthropy, the Rainbow Babies Hospital at UH downtown. This past year we raised over  $11,000  for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!
