Why Join Phi Mu

Maybe you have it all figured out, maybe not. In either case you'll need friends to help you along the way. Girlfriends. Sisters. Friends committed to you through a lifetime of ups and downs. Friends who'll help you grow as a person and as a leader. Friends who'll be there when you realize that you really don't have it all figured out. Friends who'll need you to be there for them, too. You know the type. They are the girlfriends who demonstrate that BFF sort of connection with you. They are there to build you up and to be by your side as you build up others. They have a special sort of energy about them. They are vibrant. And they're looking forward to friending you at Phi Mu.

Four Reasons YOU should be a Phi Mu:

  • To Make Friends
  • To Be The Best You
  • For An Opportunity To Lead
  • Because You Like To Help Others

Phi Mu is truly a home away from home during the collegiate years. We have developed a shared tradition enjoyed in a socially responsible manner and within the context of a lifelong support network of Phi Mu sisters.

Beginning in college and throughout our members' lives, Phi Mu provides the support network and resources necessary to empower our women to achieve vibrant living. We have a long history of community service and giving back to others while providing social opportunities and personal development to our members.

A Phi Mu member is civic minded, ready to lead and serve. At Phi Mu, we identify and nurture emerging leaders and provide leadership training opportunities for all of our members. Each year Phi Mu trains over 1,000 chapter members and officers at regional leadership conferences. Chapter officers participate in workshops to develop them as leaders in their chapters and in the community.

Phi Mu also provides a venue through which members can contribute and give back to the community in more than just one way. We do more than simply promote the idea of volunteerism, we enable it. Over the past 20 years, Phi Mu has raised over 10 million dollars for 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals nation-wide. Not only that, Phi Mu is the first sorority to establish an annual national philanthropy day. Every year in October, Phi Mus from all over the country participate in community service events in their area.

Phi Mu is currently looking for outstanding women to positively affect the campus and local community through their sorority membership. We look forward to sharing more with you during recruitment about why "pink goes with everything," especially at the Cleveland State University.
